Booking a hotel for someone else
What the arriving guest should confirm about age, name, payment authorization and identification.
The arriving guest still faces the age rule
A reservation made by an older person does not automatically override the minimum age for the person who will arrive and request the room.
Match the guest name
Ask whether the arriving guest must be named on the reservation and whether the booking channel allows that name to be added before arrival.
Third-party payment needs confirmation
Some properties provide a card authorization process; others require the cardholder or the physical card. Never infer permission from a generic list of accepted card brands.
Get the answer before paying
Contact the exact property with the guest age, arrival date and payment arrangement. Keep any written property response with the reservation details.
