OUR METHODOLOGY

Clear sources.
Honest limits.

We research the minimum age for checking in at an individual hotel. A brand name alone is not a policy.

1. Identify the exact property

We match the hotel name, street address and city to the official property page. A hotel in a nearby suburb does not become a city hotel because of its marketing name.

2. Read the age requirement

Our collection uses official hotel and hotel-chain property pages. Each listing links to its source and preserves a short age-policy excerpt. Child pricing rules and guest review ages are not evidence of a check-in minimum.

3. Verify each requirement separately

Minimum age, photo ID, payment-card acceptance and deposit or hold are separate facts. A card being accepted does not prove that the cardholder must present it at check-in. Each populated requirement links to its own official evidence; anything not stated stays unknown.

4. Make old information visible

Official webpage research expires after 30 days. Expired policies stop appearing as positive age matches. Changes and failed automated checks enter a review queue; a successful page fetch alone never renews a policy.

5. Keep conflicting evidence unresolved

If sources disagree, the listing shows a clarification warning instead of selecting the lower age. Editors publish a new version with evidence, and previous policy versions remain in the audit history.

How research is prepared

Research and summaries are assisted by AI. The recorded method is a review of linked official webpages, not a hotel visit or confirmation from the front desk.

What a match means

Your age meets the recorded minimum on the current policy. It does not guarantee admission, room availability or acceptance of your payment method. For a future trip, reconfirm near your arrival date.

Corrections and commercial links

Use a hotel's correction form when available to report an issue. Reports require review before they affect published data. This beta uses direct official links and has no paid placement or active affiliate tracking.
