Searching and product measurement

No account or date of birth is required. Searches send your selected city, age at arrival and optional arrival date to our server to calculate results. Search and hotel-page URLs can contain these selections; your browser and the hosting provider may retain visited URLs in history or access logs.

We record limited first-party product events such as a completed search, an empty result, a hotel view, an official-source click, a visible sponsored booking button or a sponsored booking-link click. An event may include a covered city, result class, property slug, policy version, the location of a booking button on the site (such as a hotel page, search results or a city page) the booking provider (Expedia or Booking.com) and the link type (property page, hotel-name search or city search). We do not attach a visitor identifier, cookie, full birthdate or free-text message to these events, and we do not run advertising cookies.

Google Analytics

Updated October 19, 2026. Google Analytics 4 measures page visits and the use of hotel checks, official-source links and booking-provider links. In the EU, the UK and the EEA we ask before analytics cookies are allowed. Elsewhere, analytics storage is on unless you reject it in Cookie settings. Consent Mode stays denied for advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals everywhere. We send clean page paths, covered city and property identifiers and event categories. We do not send age, arrival date, URL query strings, form messages or payment details.

Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to reject analytics or withdraw permission. Rejection stops Google Analytics collection and removes our Google Analytics cookies. Your choice is saved in this browser. Rejecting analytics does not affect hotel checks or booking links. Our separate first-party event counts continue without visitor identifiers. City-name suggestions

If you open “Search by city name” and type at least three letters, we send the city text to Geoapify through our server. We do not send your age, arrival date, report details or contact message to Geoapify. Geoapify receives the server connection information. Suggestions are cached in server memory for up to five minutes. The covered-city list works without this service. See Geoapify’s privacy policy.

Correction reports and contact messages

We store a correction, the property it concerns and its submission time. The contact form stores its topic, message, time and an email only when you choose to provide one. Please do not include booking, identity or payment information. Corrections and contact messages are removed after 90 days by the maintenance job.

Abuse prevention and administration

The server uses a short-lived keyed hash of the connection IP to limit submissions, city searches and event abuse. Rate-limit entries expire within 24 hours through maintenance. Admin sign-in uses a secure session cookie. Public visitors receive no account cookie.

External websites

Hotel links take you to separate sites with their own privacy practices. We do not load partner advertising pixels or affiliate cookies on CheckInAge. Sponsored Expedia links include identifiers created by Expedia's link builder. Booking.com links use CJ tracking identifiers for CheckInAge and the Booking.com affiliate program, along with the public hotel listing URL, or the hotel name or city being searched. We do not include your age in these outbound links. If you enter optional check-in, check-out and adult count, those values are added only to Booking.com links. Expedia links are not modified. A first-party cookie named cia-provider-order remembers which booking provider is listed first. It is not an account cookie and is not tied to your age. When you follow a link, the booking provider and its affiliate network may process connection information under their own privacy policies, including any cookies or other tracking used on those services. Hosting and operations

Railway hosts the application and database and processes basic connection information needed to serve and protect the website. Use the contact form for privacy questions or data requests.
