CHECKINAGE GUIDE
Why nearby hotels are listed separately
City names in hotel marketing can differ from the property’s actual municipality or borough.
The address controls the label
A hotel can market itself for an airport, attraction or major city while physically sitting in another municipality. CheckInAge uses the exact street address and maintained city identity.
Nearby can still be useful
A property outside the selected boundary may be a practical option, but it should appear with its real city and distance instead of being silently relabelled.
Boroughs need care
New York City boroughs are within the same city, but Manhattan and Brooklyn remain meaningful location distinctions. A Midtown property should not be presented as a Brooklyn hotel.
Why this affects trust
Correct geography helps the traveller understand transport, local rules and whether the result actually answers the destination searched.
Use the current property source
Directory guidance cannot approve a guest or replace a hotel’s current terms. Match the exact property and confirm unresolved requirements before paying.
